A temporary lady of the castle

Podcast about the VIA REGIA scholarship

The VIA REGIA was an important medieval trade, pilgrimage, and military route connecting cities from Kiev to Santiago de Compostela. Pilgrimages still take place along this route today. There is also an annual cultural exchange between the Kleinsassen Art Station in the district of Fulda and the easternmost point of the route in Germany, Görlitz, through the awarding of a scholarship. Each year, both cities take turns sending artists to the other region on the VIA REGIA. This year, the artist INK Sonntag-Ramirez Ponce from Jossgrund was given this honor. She became the temporary lady of the castle at the baroque Königshain Castle, where she lived, worked, and exhibited her work for a month.

A podcast was created to mark the occasion, which you can listen to at this link: Podcast on the VIA REGIA scholarship
