A Glimpse into Eternity
Donation to the Kinzigtal Hospice Support Group
The large-format pencil drawing “A Glimpse into Eternity” by INK has embarked on an impressive journey. Just back from the Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei, Prof. em. Doris Ziegler, Leipzig School / Academy of Visual Arts, left INK with the following quote about the work: “Truly a topography of life.”
As the work depicts the artist’s 96-year-old grandmother, it is not for sale. However, a limited edition fine art print has found a home in the district of Görlitz. A couple of doctors specializing in palliative medicine, among other things, were very moved by the drawing.
INK donated the rounded-up net proceeds from the fine art print to the Förderkreis Hospiz Kinzigtal, a hospice support group that has to finance a large part of its work through donations and with which the artist has long been associated.
A newspaper article by the GNZ and a very personal text by the board about the donation ceremony at INK’s studio can be found by following this link: Förderkreis-Hospiz-Kinzigtal
