Who doesn’t know him, Dr. Herbert Giese, charming art expert on the Bavarian Radio program “Kunst und Krempel”? INK had the great pleasure of being guided through the Ortner Collection in Vienna by him and his no less charming and expert son, Dr. Alexander Giese, together with a few art enthusiasts. The collector also gave an impressive personal insight into the reasons for his passion.
The private museum, which is unfortunately not open to the public, is so architecturally inspiring that it alone was worth the trip. The collection truly contains treasures in more ways than one. Of course, the room for drawings was particularly impressive for INK.
